Leigh's Website
I don't sell anything, just facilitate and enjoy life.
What is on THIS website:
Some Family Photo's, Secret Men's Tennis Stuff, Camping Trip Stuff, Desert Trip Stuff, Victorian High Country Stuff, Bathurst Adventure Stuff, Tasmanian Trip, etc.
Purpose of this website....
To provide a platform for family, friends, Secret Mens' Tennis, weekly trivia with schoolchums, AFL supporting stuff, camping & adventure trips, and anything else I decide that is worthy of being on this site.
Various "stuff"....
2021 Desert Trip (5500 Km in 12 Days)
May saw my first real venture in the "Green Beast". 5 intrepid drivers, 5 vehicles, plenty of flies, a flight for two of us, the roughest 5Km of road ever, good food, coffee, 1 hub changed, minimal recoveries required.
Secret Mens' Tennis
A Thursday night opportunity for some exercise, chinwags, and plenty of laughs. No photographs other than this one. We don't play for sheep stations, it's just a good chance to vent , tell jokes & do some "male bonding".
2023 Victorian High Country Photos
In November, 6 of us went through the Victorian High Country - 4 vehicles, 6 drivers, recovery practice, plenty of scenery, two medical incidents requiring hospital visits (2 different people), definitely requires another VHC trip.
AFL Giants Stuff (Canberra & Sydney)
I am not an AFL tragic, but I do enjoy watching the game and supporting the Giants. Every year we try to do a weekend in Canberra to watch the giants play at Manuka Oval. A number of the group, (mostly school chums), are Giants members, so we usually go to Sydney games.
Bathurst Woolshed Adventure
Also known as the Hardie Ferodo, Bathurst 500 (miles), Bathurst 1000 (Kms), Supercheap Auto, Repco Auto, etc. Time to camp in a woolshed or hay shed, with other like minded fellas, who venture to the mountain to watch the race.
Penn & Teller Pictures (2025)
On the 14th January 2025, Aynsley & I ventured to see Penn & Teller at the Sydney Opera House. What a hoot! During the performance a certain young lady was picked to go on stage to decorate Tellers forehead with a random card that she selected in her mind. The card was "guessed correctly" by Teller. We know however that P & T are "very clever and very polite cheats", but we had a ball!
Tasmania 2026 Adventure
In May 2026, Meredith & myself flew to Hobart, went to Bruny Island, Port Arthur, caught up with Geraldine & David, as well as Leigh's high school French teacher - Ruth. Visited Launceston, Devonport, Don, Penguin, Cradle Mountain, Strahan, Queenstown & Derwent Bridge. Then back to Hobart for a couple of days seeing the town.
Tasmania 2026 Part 2
Ran out of photo diskspace on the website, so am making more room
Frequently Asked Questions
Why have this website? Why not? But seriously, I'm a social butterfly, but one with a conscience, so I'll be shutting down the smt4fun.com website soon and need to provide some type of replacement for it. Also I can publish a selection of photographs from various activities that might be viewed with interest.
There's talk of returning to the desert, a Cape York adventure, back to finish Victorian High Country. All sorts of ideas at the moment, no firm decisions. as yet.
Under construction.
2026 should provide an opportunity to head up to Bathurst and watch vehicles turn petrol into noise. We may not be able to utilise the woolshed, but camping may be the go for this event.
